NEW – Beuer ECG Heart Monitor

As we age it’s even more important to know what is happening with our body. The Beuer ECG heart Monitor is a handy, compact and light device that can be used at home or on the move to measure our heart rate. The results can be downloaded onto a computer for your own or a doctor’s analysis.

It’s obviously useful for anyone who is interested in their health, but particularly recommended for those with increased risks such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, family predisposition to heart problems, excess weight, lack of physical activity, high consumption of tobacco and history of heart attacks and/or strokes.

It takes just 30 seconds to take the cardiogram measurement. There are three methods of taking the measurement – and all should be carried out whilst lying down to avoid any distortion of the results:

  1. Right index finger on the two upper electrodes – holding the device vertically.  The other contact at the end of the device is placed against your chest on the left side
  2. As above but using the left index finger
  3. Right index finger on the two upper electrodes and a finger from your left hand pressed against the lower electrode

As well as the detailed statistics, the ECG machine also lets you know if your heartbeat is “OK”,  slow or fast.

A fully charged battery can take more than 1,000 mesurements and the device itself can store 99 measurements. It’s recharged through its USB which is connected to the computer.
