I am increasingly impressed by products from the direct selling beauty brands – particular in terms of the quality and value-for-money, compared to products on sale in the shops. So I am keen to see the new range from Swedish company Oriflame.
The ONE brand, the PR people tell me is the biggest launch in the Swedish beauty brands history – introducing over 30 new and innovative make-up products. The concept behind the new range is that you can create a multitude of looks, from dramatic, glamorous styles, to chic everyday looks, and beauty that will last all day and night. The range is made up of three bespoke sub-ranges: Everyday Beauty, High Impact and Long Wear.
At the London launch we meet make-up artist to the stars Gary Cockerill – who has a fascinating story of his own to tell. He was once a miner but is now the must-have makeup guru of A-list stars such as Eva Longoria.
He demonstrates a classic look on model, Amy…who looked great before he started. After the makeover she was simply stunning and very classy.
Our favourite products from the new range are the Power Blast mascara (£5.95) which gives really long silky lashes; the Powershine Lipstick (£5.95) and the eyeshadow range – a cream that turns to powder and is kind to wrinkly eyelids (£6.95).
